We got to ride in the best shopping cart. We liked shopping before but with this new find we'll start eating and drinking more so we can return more often.
Tabitha and Tobias helped Henry set up TV to stream Boston broadcast of New England Patriots Sunday game from his (Courtney's too) cable service through Slingbox broadcast onto internet then into our internet service to wireless 802.11b router to iBook through VGA input to TV. Crazy connection and qaulity. :)
Settling down for bed. Moments ago I was enjoying dinner, swept off to a fun bath, followed by a torturous pajama dressing session and now some calming Baby Einstein about water the ocean and beach. GN (goodnight) Love Tobias
Maher family joined Mike D. at SF planetgranite.com grand opening for some fun free climbing. Location is awesome right at crissy field. We'll all return.
Daddy Stephen got in a great mountain ride in with the tried and true Mike V. Picture is of Upper San Leandro Reservior (EBMUD) taken from Soaring Hawk Trail Anthony Chabot park EBParks.org. :)
We all loved that Catlin visited us from NY and that she brought mommy and daddy Nicole and Josh along. It was hot at one point all but Josh was in the pool (6).
Chris had a good idea to get out halfway between Pleasanton and Berkeley. We choose a east bay trail starting off rt24 and heading into Moraga.
Chris and Jake joined us on roller blades and stroller. Moxie was the afterburner when a squirrel was in sight. Amber, Stephen, Sierra and Rohan added to our biking group.
There was cool enough breeze, plenty of trees to block hot east bay summer CA sun and the trail offered enough snaking turns and small ups and downs to keep interest. We will return. We went out about 4 miles for a 8 mile round trip.
We followed through with our ride as planned. Arvind joined us - Anjeli was too sleepy this time and stayed home with mommy App.
Great ride. We did not cross one road. Trail is paved and super flat with a slight down grade along Alameda Creek to the bay. Vegetation changes from fresh to brackish to salt. Saw a few fish and some nice birds. Return trip was quick with wind at back (aft port quarter) and Tobias telling us he was hungry. Ended up longer than expected at about 22 miles. Once I saw the Coyote hills I had to reach them. :)
Murietta Falls is the tallest waterfall in the watershed and reachable on a EBMUD permit hike between Sunol and Del Valle ebparks. Its a destination on our list.
The area covered is quiet expansive including its highest peak Mount Hamilton (picture in snow).
We - Rachael Tabitha Tobias and Stephen - joined Chad Tori Ella and Ben for an out and back bike ride along Nimitz Way Trail in Tilden Park of the East Bay Parks. Nice and smooth pavement, rolling hills, great views of Mt. Diablo, Mt. Tamalpais, bay, delta etc. It was a quick out and back 8 miles but cool on a July day that is going to get hot. We'll get out here and other paved trails again soon.
